TCP Connection to host

Hi,

I have a small problem your help would be appreciated.

I have a pc running a application. It talks to my sun (solaris 8) host
using a tcp port. My server uses the standard tcp drivers to listen for
connections on the receiving port. The problem I have is when I disconnect
the pc physically by the network cable the tcp port doesnt pick this up for
a long time. It leaves the port as connected on the sun server and still
thinks the connection is there. I have consulted the vendor and they say it
is my tcp parameters for solaris. I have tried setting the keep alive
parameter but with no luck. Can anyone think of anything or any other
parameter I can try.
