SENDmail problem

Hi Gurus,

I have sendmail 8.9.3 .
The problem is anybody from outside our domain, can telnet
to our mail server thru port 25, and can send mail to local
user .
say from: abc@ourdomain
to:geeta@cdfd.org.in
But sending mail to any other domain than ours is denied.
say he cannot send to geeta@hotmail.com.
This is causing problem because we get fake mails, with unkonwn
user names but with our domain.

Cant sendmail can be configured for checking the domain
(checking IP etc).
Pls give me some ideas to solve this problem.
