Solaris 9 x86 install problems with SCSI hard drives

I'm trying to install Solaris 9 x86 on a Tyan Thunder Ss2721ugn MB with an
IDE CDROM and 2 36GB u320 SCSI drives. This has the Adaptec 7902 u320
controller o it like the Sun V65x servers.

It loads the adpu320.bef driver and when I am asked where I want to install
from it shows the CDROM, NIC and the 2 SCSI drives. I have attempted to
install from both the CDROM and the Network but when I get past the system
identification portion of the install it craps out with the following:

No disks found

When its configuring /dev and /devices it states:

Warning: timeout on target 0 lun 0 initiating recovery

Warning: timeout on target 0 lun 0 initiating recovery

Warning: timeout on target 1 lun 0 initiating recovery

Warning: timeout on target 1 lun 0 initiating recovery

Warning: timeout on target 0 lun 0 initiating recovery

Warning: timeout on target 0 lun 0 initiating recovery

Warning: timeout on target 1 lun 0 initiating recovery

Warning: timeout on target 1 lun 0 initiating recovery

I have successfully installed to a spare 20Gb IDE hard drive. Anyone have
any idea what's going on? I've read a couple of snippets about problems with
ACPI and Solaris 9 x86 but I'm not sure how to resolve the problem.

Thanks for any help.
