I help look after several hundred various bits of Sun Equipment - our particular problem lies with a strange occurence on some v100's - All Solaris 8 generic 108528-17. Nothing on the surface seems apparently wrong but when checking the system logs shows the interface dmfe0 continuously flapping within milliseconds - this occurs for hours. Network switches / routers etc are all confirmed OK (other boxes plumbed into these as well so cant really be related to this. Has anyone ever seen this sort of behaviour before and if so what was the cause?
