Hi all
I have sun fire 280R server with Solaris 8 running very well before two days. When I logged as root working fine.
When I logged as a normal user it gives error message" Dt Messaging could not be started, to correct the problem, choose ok to return to login screen select fail safe session from login
Check to see that hostname is correct in these location.
/etc/hosts
/etc/src.sh
/usr/adm/inetd.sec
I have created all these files & added host name in these file.
But problem could not resolved. I have created one new user (test) with home directory /export/home/test & login as a test user without any problem, its working fine. But when I creats a new user by using the home directory /appl/username
again the same problem which I have mentioned before. My all existing user have /appl/username home directory. when I creat any user using the /appl mountpoint it give error mentioned above.
Pls tell me where is the problem. what are the steps taken to resolve the problem.
