I recently added all of our hardware to the latest SRS setup. I have an
E5500 with 10 cpu's and 10gb memory running Sol 6 with Oracle.
I have adjusted my page scan queue with SRS quite a few times but now I am
up to 2000. Original threshold was like 400. I know the thresholds with SRS
are going to be generic and we are not seeing any performance problems out
of the database, so should I be concerned or keep adjusting the #'s until
the monitoring software is happy?
So what is the technical definition of a page scan?
