Recommendations for a new system

Hello, gurus.

I'm building a new system that will hold a critical Oracle DB as part of a
Peoplesoft CRM solution, and we were planning to set this configuration as
the db system:

- System type: SF V1280 (4 CPU/8 GB per node)
- DB: Oracle 9i
- Cluster: Latest Sun Cluster 3.1 o Sun Cluster 3.0 U3 (HA standard, not
RAC)
- OS: Solaris 8 2/02 (I'm don't trust so much in Solaris 9 stability)
- Storage: EMC Clariion CX400
- HBA: QLOGIC QLA-2342-E-SP
- Data connection: switched fabric using McData's SPHEREON 4500 switches

Because we don't have a similar system like this new one in production, I'm
a little bit very concerned about the right of the choices made for the
components, so can you share your ideas or comments about this
configuration?

Of course, if anybody has a similar environment and want to share its
experience with it, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

David Arroyo
