Hi All,
When I tried to install some package using "pkgadd -d" command the install
complete successfully for some without error, but some install partially due
to the following error:
symbol _libc_register_forkhandler: referenced symbol not found
Killed
The environment is as follow:
Release: 5.8
Kernel architecture: sun4u
Application architecture: sparc
Hardware provider: Sun_Microsystems
Kernel version: SunOS 5.8 Generic 108528-13 December 2001
I apply the recommended set of patch for Solaris 8, but I got exactly the
same problem.
I also try to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/lib, but this too did nothing
to help me.
I also tried to apply on a fresh install the patch 108827-20 without any
success.
However, I have absolutely no problem with an older version of Solaris prior
to November 2001.
such as Kernel version: SunOS 5.8 Generic 108528-11 September 2001.
Could somebody help me on that one?
