Hello,

Currently investigating the usage of Sun Live Upgrade for disaster
recovery and patch management purposes ...

Nive and easy tool and command base for implementing 2nd boot etc .....

My question is , in "Solaris Patch Management : Recommended Strategies",
it says you can use Live upgrade to manage the patches without taking
the system down for about 5hrs.

Without using a Flash system, is it possible to implement the patches on
the inactive boot system.

I thought of ,for example, mounting the 2nd boot on the current running
boot system, with correct mounts under the root, then using chroot to
apply the patches ????

chroot /<mounted 2nd boot system> install_cluster

Is there any experience of such things , any chance of any feedback ????

Cheers,

Paul
