Architecting for Oracle 9i RAC on Sun

We are slowly but surely putting all the pieces of the puzzle together
on this. Wish there was a FAQ somewhere on this. This is harder to find
the proper info than it needs to be... We are looking at:

-Sun Storedge SAN: not sure which model yet as we dont need a super
large storage. A 6120 with 28x36GB 15K drives would be ok. Any advantage
beside total capacity to go to 63xx? What about 39xx? 69xx? I will more
than likely have 2 of these for the whole company, 1 for database, one
for the other stuff, each can be used to back up the other in case of
failure.
-two (for redundancy) fiber switch (not sure which yet - whatever Sun
offers I guess)
-two Sunfire 4800 each with dual 2Gb FC for redundancy and 2 SCI
interconnects
Software on the 4800: Oracle 9ir2 w/RAC on top of Solaris 9.
For the interconnect I will need the Sun Cluster 3 agent license for
Oracle RAC (there is a promo on this and SCI cards at 50% off).

The SAN comes with Sun Storedge Availability Suite 3.1 and Sun Storedge
Management Softtware kit (whatever that is). Do I need anything else? I
have a document from Oracle that seems to be saying that I need to get
Veritas VxFS. What about QFS? Also, wouldn't Solaris Volume manager do
the job instead, or is there some extra Sun Cluster piece of software I
need?

I see several software on the Sun site:
What is Sun Storedge Resource Management Suite Software? Is this what is
included with a 6120 and how does that differ from Sun Storedge
Enterprise Storage Manager Software?

Anybody running RAC? What is your setup, and if you could start all
over, what would you do? Mostly I'm trying to figure out what's all the
software I will need/want.

BTW, I know a 6800 would be a simpler solution, but then I dont have
redundancy and all that. There is no easy way out...

With the various answers I get, I'll try to whip up some Sun/Oracle RAC
FAQ and will post it to the list.

Francois
