Hello Sun Managers,
I'd like to hear what most people are currently using (if anything)
for Disaster Recovery. Particularly those of you managing large
(SF6800/12/15K) systems where availability and uptime are most important.
In the old days (before Clusters, VxVM, MPxIO, and TB filesystems)
everything was easier, wasn't it.
I've noticed several postings where people are using their own recipies
(basically re-installing a base OS on alt-disk, rebuilding original
disk-constellation, installing a NetBackup client, then restoring the
additional filesystems to the original disks) to do the job.
If anybody has documented and tested their procedures, I'd also be
interested in seeing that too.
Any pointers/experiences with commercial products would also be appreciated.
Best Regards,
