Hi Admins,
We are in the process of setting up NIS on SUN platform. At the same time
we would
be using HP-UX and Linux systems as NIS clients.
So kindly suggest wat is the recommened format to go for NIS on SUN.
1. Solaris 1 format where no shadow map will be used all information will be in passwd map.
2. Solaris 2 format , password information is kept in the shadow map and the user account
information is kept in the passwd map.
