Booting/CDROM problem

Hi all,
I am using a Sun Ultra 5 system with solaris 8 on it. For some reason
this system does'nt boot properly. When ever I switch on the power the
system starts booting and just hangs after the message

Boot device: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/disk@0,0:a File and args: -F cprboot

so I thought the system has crashed and started installing the OS again. I
inserted the CD and typed in "boot cdrom" at the OK prompt, but the
systems fails to boot and it displays the message

Boot device: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/cdrom@2,0:f File and args: -F cprboot
Boot load failed.
The file just loaded does not appear to be executable.

Some other times it shows me:

Can't read disk label.
Can't open disk label package.

I even tried "boot cdrom -s", but the problem is same. I want to know, how
I can overcome this issue without actually installing the OS again, if
not possible atleast by installing the OS. Other ultra's seems to be
running fine. But this particular system I am unable to install OS or make
it come back to the original state. Any suggestions will be highly
appreciated. Also, I would like to know whether their are any ways to
capture the output at the Ok prompt. I will send summary as soon as solve
this issue.

thanks,
Aravind
