When using groupadd, it does not automatically increment the GID. For
whatever reasons that I can't seem to figure out, it continues to use the
GID of 100 for each group I create. I can specify the -g flag to set a
specific GID but groupadd should automatically do this. Does anyone have
any ideas as to what the problem(s) may be here?
This server is a Sun Ultra Enterprise 250 running the 9/04 release of
Solaris 9 with a current set of patches installed.
