| Subject: Expanding mirror under Disksuite |
| |
>--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Hi guru's,
We are migrating several backup clients to another backup server. So we
need
to expand the /nsr partition (we work with Solstice Backup ) of that
server, as more indexes will be created.
/nsr is mounted on a two way mirror (Disksuite), each submirror is a single
stripe.
Therefor, I have the following plan:
-insert two new disks, boot -r, partition the disks as one slice. newfs on
this slice
-detach one of the submirrors, add the second disk to it, growfs, attach to
the mirror and wait until it is synced.
-detach the other submirror and do the same
Is this a stable way to do so ?
kind regards / met vriendelijke groet,
