Don't you love legacy systems?
I just found out we have 1 box that has our C compiler. For 95% of
everything we use gcc but we have 2 apps that require Solaris CC. The
box with C on it is dying slowly. It's just old and needs to be
rebuilt. This leads me to 2 questions.
1) Is there a way to get the License key off of it so I can call Sun and
get it re-issued to a new box
2) Is there a place I can get an ISO of the CD so I can install it on
the new box? There's no way management's going to buy a new version for
this usage, they'll just make the use the Ultra1 until the sun blanks
out.
Thoughts?
:wq!
