I have a Sun Enterprise 250 Unix machine. I am trying to add another
8.2GB hard drive on the machine. I can format the hard drive and even
label the drive but when I actually install the operating system Solaris
8 I cannot see the new drive that I have installed. From the format
command I can see the fallowing:
AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:
0. c0t0d0 <SUN9.0G cyl 4924 alt 2 hd 27sec 133> /pci@1f,
4000scsi@3 /sd@sd0,0
1. c0t8d0 <SUN9.0G cyl 4924 alt 2 hd 27sec 133> /pci@1f,
4000scsi@3 /sd@sd8,0
I am able to see the disk using the format command but not with normal
operations.
I will be grateful if someone can advise me on how to get this new disk
operational. All your help will be appreciated.
