Disksuite and recommended patch cluster install

Hello,

Root disk and couple of other disks are mirrored with disksuite and now we want to install latest recommended patch cluster on Sol 8. Do I stop disksuite to do this? Do I move original vfstab and mount slices? Upon completion if I move vfstab with mds (metadevices) back and start disksuite, will this work?
Or do I detach one of the submirrors and do this? Is there a procedure out there to do this safely? Are there any patches that could cause problems with mds.?
What md related files do I save?

Any pointers appreciated...
