Hi
My legato networker 6.1.1 on an ultra5 (solaris 8) is seeing the wrong
jukebox! probe-scsi-all as well as /etc/LGTOuscsi/inquire report
scsidev@1.0.0:M4 DATA MagFile 2.04|Autochanger (Jukebox)
scsidev@1.1.0:QUANTUM DLT8000 0239|Tape, /dev/rmt/0cbn
scsidev@1.2.0:QUANTUM DLT8000 0239|Tape, /dev/rmt/1cbn
instead of ATL M1500 for the jukebox!
I'm using LSIlogic ITI6100U2-VS HBA for lvd devices.
this is the config in the "itsps" driver file
# itsps.conf for Solaris 2.6 and newer. Read the man
# pages for driver.conf(4), pci(4), scsi(4) for more details.
#
# global definitions, default is marked with *
#
# symFlags - This is a bit-mask that can be used to enable or disable
# driver properties:
# bit 0 - When set, the driver will not reset the SCSI bus at
initialization.
# Certain cd-rom, tape, and other devices will not work
properly when
# this bit is set. The default state for this bit is cleared.
# bit 1 - When set, the driver will not export the DMI ioctl
interface. Only
# set this bit if you want to disable the ioctl interface for
security
# reasons. The default state for this bit is cleared.
# bit 2 - When set, the driver will disable 64-bit addressing
capability.
# When clear, the driver enables 64-bit addressing
capability. The
# default state for this bit is cleared.
#
# scsi-options - This will change the options for all devices which
don't have
# an override via the target<n>-scsi-options. See the SCSI_OPTIONS_xx
# bit definitions in /usr/include/sys/scsi/conf/autoconf.h.
#
# target<n>-scsi-options - (n=0..f) This is the same as scsi-options but
only
# affects the given target ID.
#
# scsi-initiator-id=n - (n=0..f) This setting will change the host
adapter SCSI
# ID to 'n'.
symFlags=0x0
scsi-options=0xfe8
#target0-scsi-options=0x7e8
#scsi-initiator-id=7
**
the target0-scsi-options is commented out. may be this needs to be
modified
if so, what is the correct entry? (i tried a boot -r by uncommenting and
it
didn't work!). Any help would be greatly appreciated..
TIA and I will summarize
