Question regarding Jumpstart

Hi all,

I'm new to the list so please let me know if there is another place I
should post this question...

I'm using jumpstart and have noticed that sometimes the finish script
executes before the machine is totally done extracting the image OR the
finish script does not execute at all. Has anyone else experienced
anything similar?

Also, I have cron running a script to tell the system to jumpstart in
the first place and since I want to be notified via email when the
system begins the jumpstart (for metrics purposes) I've set it up so an
email is sent out. My problem now is that email does not get sent
sometimes! It's just a simple

mail gchen@filenet.com << EOF
Data here...
EOF

reboot -- "net - install"

The problem is intermittent for both the finish script not executing and
this little crontab script not executing - is it simply a matter of
timing? The email doesn't get sent out because the system's already
rebooted?

Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Regards,
Grace
