local sendmail setup

Good morning gurus
 
I have a Solaris 8 setup with stock Solaris sendmail installed. This
operates in xyz.com domain on a mixed sun and windows environment. The
local mail server is a windows 2000 server running exchange on foo.com's
domain. Is there an easy way to have my local solaris mail program forward
mail to sendmail to send it to the exchange server and have it routed there
back to say, my windows domain mail account?
 
I am clueless when it comes to sendmail
