Strange cachefs behaviour !?

Hi folks,
has anyone seen this problem before and if so what is the solution ?

On my workstation we have a /usr/apps chachefs filesystem.
Here is the vfstab entry:
myserver:/usr/apps /cache /usr/apps cachefs - yes
backfstype=nfs,cachedir=/cache,bg,intr,actimeo=300

In the /usr/local directory there is a link to a directory in the /usr/apps
fs.
# ls -l /usr/local
total 20
drwxr-xr-x 2 bin bin 512 Sep 30 13:28 bin
drwxr-xr-x 4 bin bin 512 Sep 30 13:28 doc
drwxr-xr-x 3 bin bin 512 Oct 2 13:35 include
drwxr-xr-x 2 bin bin 1536 Sep 30 13:28 info
drwxr-xr-x 3 bin bin 512 Oct 2 13:35 lib
drwxr-xr-x 4 bin bin 512 Sep 30 13:28 man
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root other 28 Oct 9 12:17 myapp ->
/usr/apps/src/solaris/myapp

If I cd to the directory /usr/local/myapp/shared/myapp_batch/procdev
and then type pwd , i see the following:
/src/solaris/myapp/shared/myapp_batch/procdev

N.B. The /usr part of the path is not there !!!

To make it even more confusing. If I do the same thing on a similar Sun
Blade 100 on Sol 8
I see the following:
/usr/src/solaris/myapp/shared/myapp_batch/procdev

There appears to be no difference in the setup on both boxes !!
Any ideas what is happening here ?

Thanks a lot.
