I installed Veritas NetBackup BusinesServer 4.5 on my Solaris 8, DB2 machine (192.168.188.32). Since I have been given only a windows console machine to access the Solaris machines I thought I would install the Veritas Remote Administration Console on my windows machine. When I start the Remote Admin Console on windows it cannot connect to DB2, it says:
------

Neither the selected Host "192.168.188.32" has NetBackup operating nor the current user "cypher" or host have NetBackup administrati
ve priviledges on the host "192.168.188.32"
1. Make sure the user has priviledges on the host.
2. Make sure the current host is listed in the destination host's server list.
3. Make sure there is a valid network connection
4. Check authentication
5 Make sure all the services are running on type host

--------
1. I don't know how to make a win user have priviledges on the host?
2. /etc/hosts has the client address
3. there is a valid connection I can ssh
4. Check authentication??? what? How?
5. they are!

I don't use DNS, NIS, LDAP or anything for that matter... Help!

-Thanx,
Samael
