Hi Gurus,
I'm quite sure this has been asked & answered before, but I can't find it -
ggogle gives to many documents to search through, and docs.sun.com does not
help, too...
I think it's a quick issue:
How can I change the MTU of all interfaces on a system running Solaris 8?
The scope is that I have to set the MTU to 1496, due to a LINUX VLAN-problem
(I have a VLAN-enabled router, and LINUX can only deal with an MTU of 1496
when VLAN is in use). Of course I could change all interfaces of the SUNs
with an ifconfig command and a little script, but this would be a lot of
work - the systems are running as a SUN cluster, so I would have to
reconfigure the MTU of many interfaces, :-)
So, I hope there's a global parameter I could change to ease this task...
Thanks in advance, and apologies if the question has been answered before.
Will summarize,
Harald
