Error message during startup

Following is the error message I received during startup:

        There are no 'nf' devices plumbed and up
        Unable to start NF FDDI SMT/SNM daemon;
        There are no 'PF' devices plumed and up
        Unable to start PF FDDI SMT/SNM daemon.

OS is Solaris 8 on ULTRA SPARC 60

Any idea on how to fix this? In the meantime, this machine seems to work
fine.
I did not really find anything relevant in the mailling list on how to
resolve it.
