rsh won't work

Hi Gurus,

I have a strange problem and really hope you can help me solving it:

I want to make a backup of a Linux-Box on a remote tape device connected to a
Solaris-Box. I know, normally its very simple. The only things to do are:

- edit .rhosts, /etc/hosts and insert the desired hostname on both hosts
- activate rsh service in /etc/inetd.conf
- restart inetd

It works on all hosts which actually I configured. But I have to do a remote
dump/tar or whatever on two hosts, which were configured for security reasons
from another company. So, I think they switched off something which prevents
me to rsh to the Solaris-machine. If I could rsh I would also be able to make
a remote dump or tar which both use rsh.

But rsh isnt possible, although I enabled the corresponding line in
inetd.conf. I get the message: "rsh: Connection refused"

Does anybody know, which other configurations I have to do or parameters to be
set to make rsh possible again?

Thanks in Advance, Will summarize.

Bengi
