Hello Managers,
I've got the following error while i try to add an interface on solaris 8
:
ifconfig: setifflags: SIOCGLIFFLAGS: eri0:12: no such interface
all i did is the following :
ifconfig eri0:12 up
I check up my configuration :
/etc/hosts has the entries for the hostname and IP adress
/etc/hostname.eri0:12 has the correct entry (corresponding to the hostname in
the /etc/hosts)
/etc/defaultrouter has the correct IP in
/etc/netmasks has the right information too
The server is a Sun-Fire-280R.
i already have eri0 configured, and also eri0:1 to eri0:8 configured.
Does anyone have any idea about this problem ?
