SUMMARY[2]: Sun Rays stuck at 26D

Sorry, forgot to post the original question. It's my first time trying this.

Hi Managers,

We are running a Sparc AX/MP+ machine with Solaris 9. It had a bad
shutdown recently and upon reboot, the network was dead. Redefining the
interfaces with ifconfig and executing /etc/init.d/network restart fixed
that but gave the "DT messaging error" upon login. Killing rpc and
restarting it fixed that.

This morning, upon login, it said the smart card daemon wasn't running.
We don't use smart cards on this server. Those are slated to be added to
this machines replacement later this week. After disabling smartcards,
still no one could login so we rebooted the machine.

After the reboot, no Sun Rays will come back up. They are all stuck at
26D. There were no Xsun, dtgreet, or dtlogin processes running either.
Restarting the utsvc script had no effect. Attempting to pull up an X
session from a linux box with the -query didn't work either.

Now, after restarting a few of the scripts in /etc/init.d, my coworker
has managed to start Xsun for all of the Ray, dtgreet and dtlogin are
running for it as well. I have included a snippet of the ps -ef so you
can see if they are running properly. /etc/dt/config/Xservers file is
being created dynamically properly as far as I can see. However, the
Rays are still stuck at 26D. We are running our labs off of this, and
they are all down, so any thoughts are appreciated, we're getting a
little desperate.

I will summarize all responses.

Thanks,
 -Aaron Taylor
