Hi,
Is it possible to apply sun disk firmware onto an "Off the Shelf" Seagate ST336607LC 36GB scsi disk? Or do we need to worry about it? The disks will be for U80's/E450's/420's.
A sun service provider has told us that there is a difference between buying the disk from a retail supplier and buying this disk from Sun. The difference is that Sun apply different Firmware (and also the spud mounting bracket).
