Hi,
I have another question about the Solaris 9 RAID system:
Thanks to the many people who gave me a hint to metadb
I successfully installed the raid system on all partitions,
including the root partition. This works well now.
Unfortunately, this put me into another problem:
I tried to install a Checkpoint FW-1 NGFP4 enforcement
module, but the Checkpoint does not support the bge interfaces.
When booting the machine, it says
FW-1: i/f bge0 (bge0) is not found in table (SIOCSLIFNETMASK 8078697e)
Warning: this interface is not monitored by FireWall-1
FW-1 IP: FW-1 has a problem registering an interface configuration
command (8078697e) - blocked.
and then completely hangs. Thus I cannot even login from the console
when booting in single user mode. I don't have any way to get into the
machine.
Usually, this wouldn't be any problem. I'd just use a cdrom, boot the
cdrom into singleuser mode, mount the disk and remove the checkpoint
software.
But since I have installed a RAID system on the root filesystem, I
can't simply mount the harddisk.
How do I access a raid-1-root-filesystem from a single-user-booted
cdrom ?
regards
Hadmut
