Hi,
sometimes I have tasks like investigating the versions of some installed
packages,
across our server farm, ca. 600 servers.
Most of the servers don't have SSH installed on it, which means, I must use
telnet.
I would like to automate such tasks, do you have any ideas how to do that,
of course we don't allow such things like .rhosts files or "remote tools".
As I mentioned before, not every servers are installed with SSH, and I don't
know how
to integrate telnet in a script.
There are such tools like expect but I am not comfortable with them,
C-Kermit is another option
but I don't have any experience with it.
Any other ideas?
