Hi Gurus,
I'm using a good ol' Ultra 5 as a mailserver, and to make mailing mor secure,
and reduce Spam, I installed amavis.
Works fine, but only in debug mode...
When I run /usr/local/sbin/amavisd debug, everythings fine, I can telnet to
port 10024, send an email, and amavis scans it (i. e., calls spamassassin and
McAffee VirusScan, which I've also installed).
But, when I start amavis without the debug-option, I can't get a mail through
- I can issue MAIL FROM: and RCPT TO:, but when I issue the DATA: command,
the server closes the connection. I've looked into the logs, but didn't find
anything...
Installation is:
SUN Solaris 8 with perl 5,
MTA postfix
Amavis, VirusScanner and SpamAssassin installed due to installation
instructions.
Any ideas??
Many thanks, and have a nice hackin',
Harald
