Dear Managers,
I had executed each and every step as per the procedure, i had
manually started the script S22acct to initate System accounting
then i add ckpacct in adm crontab the command that i added was something like
this
0 * * * * /usr/lib/acct/ckpacct
I also added runacct under root crontab ( 0 3 * * * /usr/lib/acct/runacct
2> /var/adm/acct/nite/fd2log) to generate daily summary report
but today morning when i checked the /var/adm/acct/nite/ directory it did not
generate any file. I checked the cronlogs there wans't any sort
of entry.
can any managers help me out to solve this problem please.
System Info : Solaris 8 SunOS 5.8 Generic sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10System
