pop/imap hidden message

Not really solaris related, but I'm sure someone here knows the answer.

I'm using the latest wu imap on solaris8. Both pop3 and imap access are
enabled, as well as local mbox pine access. imap and local pine don't
create "Mail System Internal Data" message, but every time some user uses
POP to access his e-mail that messages gets recreated and while it's
not visible by pop clients, it becomes visible by IMAP and PINE. I don't
know if either local Pine or IMAP are supposed to hide this message, or is
there an option to do so. Maybe there's a way to prevent POP server from
generating it ? I don't know if that would hurt any funcionality.

thank you all in advance.
