ge0 problem on Sunfire v880 and 6800

Hi ALL

I'm unable to plumb my ge0 interface on the Sunfire
6800. I get a bad file number error on the sunfire
6800.

On the V880 i get the ge0 plumbed, but it does not
stay after I reboot the system, and it does have the
same mac address as the primary interface of eri0.

I changed the local-mac-address to false at the ok
prompt but it did not resolve the mac address issue.
Both gigE and the eri0 on the V880 seems to still have
the same ethernet address.

My question is how I find what interface the gigabit
card is on the sunfire 6800, and how come the gigE and
the eri0 have the same ethernet address on the V880.

My last question also is is there any file to find
what the interface is on the system besides the
path_to_inst file under /etc.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ALL
