2 Hosts with 3310

Hello,

Scenario: 2x V240 Solaris 9 newest release all patches, 3310 with last firmware

short version:
Is it possible two connect two hosts to one 3310 with 1 HW Controller to the
same LUN. I.e. both hosts couls read and write on the same LUN and see all the
files from both hosts ?

long version:
3310 with one LUN RAID5 configured. SCSI Chanel 1 and 3 configured as host
channel. Disks in single bus configuration. One V240 connected to SCSi Chanel 1
the other one to chanel 3. Building one LUN with the RAID5. This one LUN is
mapped two both hosts channel. After mounting I could see and access all files.
Now writing a file from host A to the 3310 works fine. Doing a ls -lga on host B
gives an I/O error on this file showing all other files, but this one. Vice
Versa the same behaviour. I.e. only the host who has written the file could see
and access it. Even the df shows different values.

So what's my mistake or isn't it possible at all (I can't believe that). I do
need this LUN really shared from both hosts (in more detail it is an sun ray
server failover group scenario)

Thanx in advance, Dirk.
