Changing IP address

Hello Gurus,

Originally, i had a sun server with the following configurations:
hostname: a8610cu1
ip address: 186.0.0.1
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
netmask: 186.0.0.0

Now i want to change the configuration for the server.It will be using a
static ip address.
hostname: a8610cu1
IP address of Sun workstation : 144.131.215.221
IP address mask : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway : 144.131.215.1

Can you please advice which files should i change to get this working. The
sun workstation
will not be using NIS or anything else. It is a Sun Blade 150 station.

I am not too sure about how to change the file, /etc/netmasks and
how/where to add in a gateway.

This is output i get when i do a ifconfig -a;

a8610cu1:etc> ifconfig -a
lo0: flags=1000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 8232 index 1
        inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
eri0: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 2
        inet 186.0.0.1 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 186.0.0.255

Thanks and regards,
Dinesh Paul
