SAN/NAS advice

Hi

I'm looking at a Proposal for a new Sun NAS/SAN fileserver, and its too costly.
The Proposal has a Cluster of 2 Sun Fire V880 's, each is attached to its own SE3510 Storage Array.

In order to save on the cost, I'm considering having a single SE3510 at the back-end , attached to the 2 V880's still in a cluster.
The SE3510 will use Raid5, with Dual Raid Controllers, and Redundant Power Supply.

My question is, How much redundancy am I really losing? How much can go wrong with a single SE3510, as opposed to 2 ?
I'd like to hear from anyone with SE3510 experience, as to how dependable they are, as I've no experience here!

Best Rgds

Rob
