Hi all,
i want to install ssh on Sol 8.
A Patch must applied to do that.
But the following happens:
# patchadd 112438-01
Checking installed patches...
Verifying sufficient filesystem capacity (dry run method)...
Patch 112438-01 failed to install due to a failure produced by pkgadd.
See /var/sadm/patch/112438-01/log for details
Patchadd is terminating.
# cat /var/sadm/patch/112438-01/log
Package not patched:
PKG=SUNWcarx.us
Original package not installed.
This appears to be an attempt to install the same architecture and
version of a package which is already installed. This installation
will attempt to overwrite this package.
ld.so.1: /usr/sadm/install/bin/pkginstall: fatal: relocation error: file
/usr/sadm/install/bin/pkginstall: symbol get_install_root: referenced
symbol not found
pkgadd: ERROR: checkinstall script did not complete successfully
Dryrun complete.
No changes were made to the system.

So the pkginstall library seems not to work. I copy the pkginstall libary from an other Maschine, but doesn't helps!!!
Is anyone knowing what happens to me?
