Hello,

I'm not sure what happens to the system in regards to accounting practices,
but I'm running Solaris 8 and I come to a prompt where the system can't
write to utmp or utmpx. I come up to an option to run in run level 0-6 or S,
but I can't go into S,0, or 1.

I haven't done anything to the system as it has been running fine for
awhile. No patches have been installed recently. Any one run into something
like this? I have deleted and recreated utmp and utmpx with the same
permissions, but it didn't work.

John
