Hello All,
We have just purchased a new Sun Fire 4800.... And I thought that during
the time to go to production I could use the patchpro facility to
automatically update all patches.
Is it a realistc goal to aim for NO required patches (with a sunsolve
account) being displayed from :
/opt/SUNWppro/bin/pprosvc -l
Since I have run it repeatedy with the "-i" switch, rebooted, then rerun
again........ Each time showing more or less the same set of patches
required... Some when I tried manually to apply, stated that the patch
had already been applied (is there a problem here?)
I know there is the directory /var/spool/pkg/patchproSequester,
containing patches that require manual intervention , such as "single
user" mode install, but there are a lot i.e. >100...
So again is it realistic to go for the "no patches required" scenario.....
