NIS+ doesn't appear to be installed?

Hello all,

I have 2 identical R420's that I installed Solaris 8 on several months ago.
One was to be a NIS+ master, the other I didn't name a naming service for
it. After install, the NIS+ master plays fine, and I had no problems
installing NIS+ clients on some U60's to play with the server. I went to
install the client on the other 420 yesterday, and upon executing the
/usr/lib/nis/nisclient and the switches that are required, it said it
couldn't install because NIS+ wasn't installed. I am confused, as I
installed both systems identically, as full OEM, so the packages should have
been there.

Does anyone have any idea why this isn't initializing correctly as a NIS+
client?

Solaris 8, MU7, recommended and security patches as of Mar of this year.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and I will gladly summarize.
