Hello,
Im have Sun Ultra 10 that im trying to install Solaris 9, IM trying to do
it through the serial console port ...to install from CLI instead if the
GUI. from what ive read ...your suppose to be able to attach to serial
console and the power up the box ...then i should be able to send a break
to the console ...and get a
>ok
prompt
type
boot cdrom ...
however i never get a prompt at all ..like the serial console is
non-existant.
also on another note..ive tried the GUI way..
put cd in ...at ok prompt type boot cdrom...i fill out all the network and
time information ...i do regular install ..it says put disk in ...ive put
every disk in the cd collection that was sent to me from Sun ...and it
just says ...wrong disk please insert disk and click ok "
can anyone tell me what with this ?? brand new CD's too
