strange backup problem.

Guru's,

We have encountered a strange backup issue:
After a fusion of several departments, we got two more backup servers to
administrate.
These backup server show strange behaviour ( in my opinion.)
This is the case:
Tapes that become recyclable are not recognized as tapes that can be
overwritten with new data. To use these tapes, they need to be labelled
overnew each time they are needed(that is, after they become recyclable)
If these tapes, in recyclable mode, are inventarized in a jukebox, Solstice
Backup won't recognize them as tapes that can be overwritten.

One system is an Ultra 60 running Solaris 2.6 ans Solstice Backup 6.1.3
The other server is Enterprise 250 running Solaris 2.6 and Solstice Backup
5.0
Both servers show the same behaviour.

Is this a configuration issue, or a bug ? or something else ?
Anyone any hints or tips ??

kind regards,
