NIS+ rpc.nisd between Solaris versions

Hi,
We've been having nasty memory leaks on rpc.nisd which require frequent
(that is, every few days) restarts of the daemon. I've noticed a
significant size difference between the binary on our Solaris 8 server and
the Solaris 9 clients which imply to me that the later version may well be
"better" in some generic sense.

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root 174560 Jan 6 2000 /usr/sbin/rpc.nisd* (Sol 8)
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root 205988 Apr 7 2002 /usr/sbin/rpc.nisd* (Sol 9)

I'm considering the implications of copying the Solaris 9 daemon across and
using it on the server but suspect this could be a dumb idea - are other
libraries going to have to be copied as well? Will this cause horrible
amounts of grief?

Thanks
Tim
