Help with BMC Patrol

Hello Guys

Can you give me some advice or has anyone seen this type of issue
before. We have a Customer that runs one of our applications via BMC
Patrol on Solaris 8. We recommend running the application via
/etc/inittab. But because of advice from Sun about a limit on the number
of applications that can be run from inittab the Customer uses BMC
Patrol.

This has worked fine in the past, but we now have an issue with our
application hanging. There is a lot of Tracing that can be turned on in
our application that will output to a log file and help us to
troubleshoot any issues we have. But we have found that when the
application is run from BMC Patrol our application does write its output
to the log files, but when we run the application from the command line
or via inittab it does output the Tracing from our application to the
log file.

Has anyone seen this happen before, sorry that this is a bit of the mark
and a bit vague, but I have looked every ware else and have not been
able to find an answer, unfortunately I do not know anything about BMC
Patrol either.

I of course will summarize

Kind regards
