Hi
A SPARC newbie I'm affraid. I'm trying to install Solaris 9 on a 420R
server. From the PROM I use:
boot cdrom
The system starts the boot process, but reports the error "Can't open boot
device". Since the machine had been transported between sites recently, I
though I would check to ensure that none of the cables had shifted. After
that, I ran probe-scsi-all. Only the two system HDD's show - no sign of the
CDROM. Someone suggested that I reset the NVRAM settings to their defaults
using set-defaults. Still no joy.
Can anyone suggest something else I might try to get this system to boot
from the CD-ROM.
Regards
Robert
