Hi all,
I have this configuration:
- 1 SunFire 1280
- 2 Sun Storedge 2Gb PCI Single Fibre channel network adapters
- 1 8 port 2Gbit FC switch
- 1 Sun Storedge 3510, 12 x 73 GB 10k RPM disks, FC-JBOD
- Solaris 9
- SAN Foundation software 4.2
- Traffic Manager software for multipathing
- Solaris Volume Manager
Now we have found some problems with luxadm command and SAN throughput:
# luxadm probe
No Network Array enclosures found in /dev/es

The last two commands shows an error. When we finished the SAN and Traffic manager installation this command worked fine. Then, we installed Solaris Volume Manager with RAID5 into the SAN, and now the commands always shows errors
I have anhother problem, maybe in ralation with the luxadm problem: the SAN throughput is very poor. In a Sun E4500 + A1000 (SCSI), when I make a copy command I have this iostat output (kw/s here 9000-9600):
pyrsap# iostat -xd 1 10|grep d340
device r/s w/s kr/s kw/s wait actv svc_t %w %b

In the new platform (1280 + SAN), I have this iostat output with the same copy command(kw/s here 3300-3900)
prosap# iostat -xd 1 10|grep d300
