Hi all Gurus,
This is a bit off the topic. Its regarding HP servers and HP-UX .
I am trying to compile GNU tar on the HP server . I require this as the native
HP tar is not supporting files > 2GB .
I downloaded the source code .
I am trying to configure using the "--enable-largefile" but it is not
accepting as per the following message:

on using it for large files checking for getconf... (cached) getconf
checking for CFLAGS value to request large file support... (cached) no
checking for LDFLAGS value to request large file support... (cached) no
checking for LIBS value to request large file support... (cached) no
checking for _FILE_OFFSET_BITS... (cached) no

Can any one suggest as to how to set the CFLAGS, LDFLAGS and LIBS for enabling
large file support?
