sar cleanup

I am new at running sar and want to run it collecting data about every 10
minutes on servers in the field. I am running it every 5 minutes now and
see about 4 meg of data per day. Does anyone have the file format for this
binary data? I'd really like to pull it off the machines and parse it on
another machine entirely. Maybe even on a Linux box using perl.I am also
wondering when the sadd files get cleaned up. Is this something that I have
to do or are there system cron jobs that do it? I have the sarge
application but he rsh's to each box and parses from the web server. The
machines I am collecting from are to CPU bound to be generating graphs on
and are not directly accessible by the web server.
                  Thanks,
                       Don
